Payment Terminal - Hardware to Hardware Integration: Siemens Sicharge D x CCV set up

Intro

Siemens Sicharge D is a powerful charger that can be equipped with a payment terminal. Currently (1st half of 2024) it runs on a custom version of OCPP 1.6 also called 1.6 California pricing. In order to enable its full features on our platform, here are 3 steps to follow.

Pre-requisites Datacom

Responsibility of the customer & CSM

Siemens Sicharge D chargers must be connected to the public APN when used with CCV payment terminals. This is because CCV terminals need to reach external payment services on the public internet, and this communication is not possible when a charger is connected to the private endpoint, which restricts outbound access

Set-up in EV Portal

Responsibility of the CSM

Prepare the usual contactless set-up.Β Link to internal documentationΒ (only for GFX team)

Responsibility of the Customer

Once this is done, you can activate the following special features for this terminal in the Charge Station Screen:

Please, note that pre-auth amount, as well as other payment-related configurations are done in the Charge Station configuration screen.

All the rest of the steps to onboard the charge station are the same.
