Charge station Get Diagnostics

Intro

The Get Diagnostics command is a feature that allows the charge point operator to request the charge station its diagnostic information (if available/configured).

Practical example:

This might be relevant when the charge point operator wants to perform more in-depth analysis of the processes within the charge station (e.g. usefulness to troubleshoot faulty charge stations)

EvPortal User Requirements:

  • Permission: 'Command:GetDiagnostics' 
  • Example roles: Admin, Charger Vendor, CP Network Manager, CPO Manager, Hardware Manager

Get Diagnostics - How to?

1. Press 'Charge Stations' in the left navigation menu (CPO > Assets > Charge Stations) 2. Select the desired charge station

3. Expand the top right menu to display additional options and then press 'Get Diagnostics' (or go to the Diagnostics tab and press 'Get Diagnostics' on the top right corner

4. You will land the in the Get Diagnostics wizard, where all fields are mandatory:

  • File Location: please provide the URL for an FTP server, in the following format: ftp://user:password@host:port/path in which the part :port may be excluded. Example for GFX customer ABC: ftp://abc:******@ftp2.greenflux.com/Diagnostics/, with ****** being the password. If your entity does not have an FTP account, get in touch with your appointed customer success manager.
  • Date Interval: User should specify the time range that the diagnostics are being asked for.
  • Settings:
    • Retries: Consists of the number of attempts that are made to obtain the diagnostics file. This applies in case an error occurs (e.g. lack of connectivity)
    • Retry interval: This field is in seconds and consists on the time period between each attempt to obtain the diagnostic file.
