Vendor-Specific Smart Charging Settings
Different charge station manufacturers require specific configuration settings to enable smart charging functionality. Below you'll find the required settings for each supported vendor.
ABB
ABB DC charge stations require external Smart Charging signals to be enabled through ABB's charge station management platform. Contact ABB support for assistance with this setup.
Required settings:
- DiscardTxProfileWhenConnectionLoss: true
Alpitronic
Required settings (requires charge station reboot to activate):
- ChargePointMaxProfileEnabled: true
Ecotap
Required settings:
- chg_MinChargingCurrent: 6
- chg_Options: ChgProf=1 (Note: This is part of a comma-separated list and may include other values)
Enovates
Required settings (requires charge station reboot to activate):
- ocpp.limit.configuration.keys: false
- smart.current.usage.history.gathering.enable: false
- smart.transaction.allowed.change.ev.pending: false
GARO
Required settings:
- DlmMode: 0
For dual connector stations, also set:
- DlmMode_2: 0
Keba
Required settings:
- MaxAvailableCurrent: 512
Schneider Electric
Required settings:
- emsetting: 2
⚠️ Important: When a reboot is required to activate settings, ensure no active charging sessions are in progress before performing the restart.
