USE CASE:
Users can delete a charge station from EV Portal, and the deleted station will be permanently removed from the system.
PRE-CONDITIONS:
1. There are no sessions associated with the charge station, including historical or currently active sessions, meaning no CDRs are linked to it.
2. None of the EVSEs at the charge station are part of a Smart Charging capacity group. If any EVSEs are included in such a group, they must be manually removed before the charge station can be deleted. The portal may display a hint if this condition applies.
Portal permissions: CSM needs to assign the permissions of "ChargeStation.Delete" for enabling the feature for customers.
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1. In EV Portal, navigate to the charge station overview.
2. Click on the blue dropdown arrow on the right, next to Hard Reset. Select the option, "delete the charge station".
2. A confirmation dialog will appear, asking user to confirm the deletion by typing the charger ID into the field.
CONFIRMATION: Once the process is completed, a toast message will appear, confirming the successful execution of the action. You can also verify this by checking the relevant charger ID under the Charge Station tab—if it no longer appears in the list, it has been successfully deleted.
NOTIFICATIONS:
If a user attempts to delete a Charge Station that is part of a Smart Charging group, a warning will be triggered. The user will be prompted to first remove the charge station from the group before proceeding with the deletion.
If a user tries to delete a Charge Station that does not meet the specified pre-conditions, a generic alert will be displayed, preventing the user from continuing with the deletion process.
CAUTION:
This deletion action is permanent and non-reversible. Once the Charge Station is deleted, it cannot be retrieved.
