Managing Opening Hours

Set the operating hours for a location to indicate when charge stations are available to drivers. This information is shared through the OCPI and can be synced with external platforms.

If no changes are made, charge stations are assumed to be available 24/7.

How to Set Opening Hours

Opening hours are configured when creating or editing a location.

  1. From the left navigation menu, go to the “Locations” section or use “Search”
  1. Select the location you would like to change and click “Edit”
  1. Scroll down and expand the “Regular Opening Hours” tab

  1. Define the opening and closing time for each day of the week
  1. Optionally, use the split function to define multiple time blocks within the same day

Example: A station can be set to open Monday from 07:00–11:59, closed during lunch, and open again from 15:00–18:00. Outside these hours, the station will be marked as closed.

Controlling Station Availability

By default, charge stations remain active even when a location is marked as closed. However, this behaviour can be changed when configuring the location’s CPO.

To update this setting:

  1. Using the left navigation menu, go to the “CPO” section.
  1. Select the location’s CPO and click “Edit”
  1. Expand the “Charge Station Access” tab and enable or disable the toggle that enforces opening hours.

When the toggle is enabled, the charge stations status will become unavailable during closed hours. When disabled, opening hours will be visible to users but will not affect station availability.

Adding Opening Hour Exceptions

Use “Opening Hour Exceptions” to temporarily override standard operating hours, such as during public holidays or special events.

These exceptions take priority over the regular schedule.
