Monitoring and Graphs

Understanding Smart Charging Graphs

The smart charging interface provides powerful visualization tools to help you monitor and understand charging activities. This guide will help you interpret the two main types of graphs available.

Group Allocation Graph Overview

The Group Allocation Graph shows how capacity is distributed across all EVSEs (charging stations) in your smart charging group. Here's what you'll see:

  • A pink line showing the total available capacity for allocation
  • Colored bars representing capacity allocated to each EVSE

How to Read the Group Graph

Each colored bar represents a different EVSE. The height of the bar shows how much charging capacity is allocated to that EVSE at any given time. Remember that this shows allocated capacity, not actual consumption.

Important: The colored bars show the maximum capacity an EV is allowed to use, not the actual consumption. For actual consumption data, you'll need to check the individual EVSE graphs.

EVSE Allocation Graph Details

To view detailed information for a specific charging station, click on its colored bar in the Group Allocation Graph. This will show you:

  • Green bars showing allocated capacity for the specific EVSE
  • Orange lines showing actual power consumption per phase
  • Real-time charging data with precise measurements

Common Graph Scenarios

What if the graph shows "No Data Available"?

This can occur in two situations:

  • There haven't been any charging sessions during the selected time period
  • The charge station is offline and cannot send meter values
Why might allocated capacity be higher than actual consumption?

This is normal and can happen when:

  • An EV is nearly full and naturally reduces its charging rate
  • The EV's maximum charging capacity is lower than the allocated capacity
  • The charging session is just starting or ending

Monitoring Best Practices

To get the most out of your smart charging monitoring:

  1. Regularly check the Group Allocation Graph for overall system performance
  1. Investigate individual EVSE graphs when you need detailed charging session data
  1. Use the date selector in the top left corner to review historical data
  1. Monitor for any offline EVSEs that might need attention
Remember: If you notice unexpected behavior in the graphs, first check if all charge stations are online and properly configured. Most issues can be resolved by ensuring proper connectivity and configuration.
