Payment Terminal - Payter Apollo Select EVSE screen explained

Overview

This document outlines the new feature that allows EV drivers to select an EVSE ID before initiating a charging session at Payter Apollo terminals. This enhancement improves user experience by providing clear identification of the charge point being used, ensuring an accurate charging session.

A new screen has been introduced where EV drivers can select an EVSE ID before starting a session. The system will display:

  • The physical reference ID of the EVSE if it has been set.
  • If the physical reference ID is unavailable, a default placeholder such as "Charging Socket NN" will be shown.

For a more detailed flow, please refer to the PDF attachment in this article.

Customization in the EV Portal

Charge Point Operators (CPOs) can configure their charging infrastructure by setting the following identifiers via the EV Portal through different ways:

  • Display Name and turning the toggle to 'Use physical reference' (up to 17 characters) – You can customize the display name of the charge station item 1 below that is displayed on the terminal. You can turn on the toggle, item 2 below, and it will automatically take the Display Name you set as the EVSE physical reference.
  • Add Physical Reference by EVSE

(up to 17 characters) – as shown below in number 3

If these IDs are not configured, the system will default to displaying standard Charge Station and will default using 'Charging Socket NN' as the EVSE ID.
