Private Location Authorization Management

Manage private location authorisation in EV Portal

A private location is a location where only a defined group of customers or charge tokens can start a charging session. Drivers who are not authorised cannot start a session and will not see the location in Charge Assist.

Before you start

  • Confirm which customers and charge tokens should be authorized.
  • If you plan to import charge tokens, prepare a CSV with the Auth IDs you want to authorize for this location.
  • You need permission to manage locations in EV Portal.

Make a location private

  1. Go to CPO, then Charge locations. Open the location you want to make private.
  1. Select the Authorization tab.
  1. Add customers and charge tokens to the Authorization list using the steps below. The location becomes private as soon as the list is not empty.

  1. Select Add customers.
  1. Search by customer name or external ID, then select the customer to add it to the Authorised customers & charge tokens list.
