You can schedule a charge station to automatically switch its status, like setting it as temporarily unavailable during maintenance. This ensures drivers are properly informed, and the system reflects real-time availability.
What Happens When a Status is Set to 'Out of Order'?
Depending on how the charger’s CPO is configured (see picture below), setting a status to "Out of Order" can have two effects:

When “Out of order” status is scheduled | Station becomes unavailable | Status shared via OCPI as “Out of Order” |
✅ Enabled | Yes | Yes |
❌ Disabled | No | Yes |
The station may or may not physically reject new sessions, depending on this setup. Either way, its status will be clearly visible in the system for transparency.
Step 1: Open the Status Scheduling Tab
- From the left navigation menu, go to "Charge Stations" or “Search”
- Click on the charge station you'd like to update.
- Navigate to the "Status Scheduling" tab.

Step 2: Add a New Schedule
- Click the "here" which is highlighted in the middle of the page.
- A new row will appear where you can define the schedule.

Step 3: Fill in Schedule Details
For each status change you want to schedule:
- Date Range
Choose the start and end date/time when the change should apply. This is often used during maintenance periods lasting from a few hours to a couple of days.
- Status
Select one of the two options:
- Available
- Out of Order
- Message (Optional)
Add a short message to explain the reason for the status change. This message may be shown to drivers to provide clarity, for example:
“This charge station will be temporarily out of service for maintenance. Expected downtime is 4 hours.”
Step 4: Save the Schedule
Once all entries are filled in, click "Save". The schedule will be applied, and the charger’s status will automatically update at the defined times.
