Why can’t a driver add a third-party RFID card to the Charge Assist app?
Answer
- The Charge Assist app only accepts cards that belong to the Greenflux EMSP Network and ad-hoc payments (credit/debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay)
- Cards from third-party eMSP roaming partners (e.g. Shell Recharge, Plugsurfing) cannot be added to the app
- If you try to add an unsupported card, you'll see this message: "Card is not supported in the app anymore. You can still start a session by swiping it at the station."
- The reason for disallowing this is to prevent fraudulent activities, such as the copying of RFID cards and the use of these cards without authorisation.
Although you cannot add external cards to the app, you can still use them directly at charging stations by swiping the physical card (in case the eMSP is a Roaming Partner of GreenFlux).

Note: White-label apps can be configured by the GreenFlux development team to define which types of tokens are accepted.
