Charge Station Creation

Intro

This article describes the process of setting up newly commissioned Charge Stations (CS) in GreenFlux.

Installing a Charge Station at a physical location

Charge Stations are often installed as 'Stock' location in order to be tested before moving them to their intended site location.

Before a Charge Station can be tested with GreenFlux, the Charge Station's details such as a unique Charge Station ID, a location and a tariff, need to be uploaded to the GreenFlux platform.

After successful tests, the CPO moves the Charge Stations to their destination location.

Once a Charge Station has been installed and deployed at a physical destination location, it needs to be moved from 'Stock' status in GreenFlux to 'Production' status.

This article focuses on how to add Charge Stations to GreenFlux either by way of a batch import using the Charge Station Importer tool, or by manual step-by-step creation.

Adding and editing Charge Stations

There are two options:

Charge Station Configuration properties

1. State

Use Stock when the Charge Station has not been deployed in production (no CDRs will be invoiced)

Use Production when the Charge Station is up and running and fully deployed at its physical location.

Use Deprecated when the Charge Station is no longer in use.

2. Operator

Select the Charge Station's CPO.

The CPO Contract will be filled in automatically based on the selected CPO.

3. Identification

Add the Charge Station's external Charge Station ID.

This value is used in OCPP communication and should be written on the charger.

4. Billing

Select a tariff code.

The selected tariff code will determine which billing rule will be applied to the Charge Station.

Select a reimbursement tariff code if applicable. This is an option field.

For more information on how to set up tariff codes, check the billing documentation.

5. Miscellaneous

  • In 'Contactless Payments', you can indicate if the Charge Station allows contactless payments.
  • In 'Charge Station Directions' you can use the free text field to provide instructions on where the Charge Station is located. You can also add a floor number, for example if the Charge Station is located in a parking garage.
  • In Other Features there is currently Stop on Parking (which is only visible to Tenant Admins)
  • In the 'Notes' section you can provide additional details about the Charge Station as well as specific maintenance information.
