Hardware-to-Hardware Integration
This is suitable for when the charger has an integrated payment system already and the CPO is comfortable to scale with it. In this integration, GreenFlux communicates directly with the charge point and payment terminal hardware using OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) messages, making for a straightforward, hardware-driven solution. This integration requires a custom OCPP integration with GreenFlux and is scoped on a project basis.
Main Characteristics
- The integration occurs directly between the charger hardware and payment terminal hardware which means that it has maximum reliability and transparency between the two hardware.
- Tariff settings are managed directly between the charging station and payment terminal, independently of GreenFlux's billing engine. This is configured either in the charging station's settings or through the payment terminal portal.
- Transaction IDs are not stored in the GreenFlux system. The charging station and payment terminal communicate through custom OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) messages. The charging station, not GreenFlux, holds primary responsibility for this setup.
Available Integrations

- Alpitronic HYC 150/300 x Wordline Valina
- Circontrol eVolve x Ingenico

Note: Each hardware-to-hardware integration is unique, even when using the same charger and payment terminal combination with different hardware models. Technical documentation is always required to ensure compatibility of the custom messages.
New Integrations
From a technical perspective, hardware‑to‑hardware payment terminal integrations are based on custom OCPP messages exchanged between the charging station and the payment terminal.
To support an integration between a charger manufacturer and a payment terminal provider, GreenFlux verifies whether the required messages are already implemented and supported on our platform. Many manufacturers use the same technical implementation across different hardware models, and GreenFlux already supports several of these implementations. For this reason, a requested integration may already be supported or compatible with an existing implementation.
When a request for a payment terminal integration is received, we assess whether the implementation is already supported or compatible with our existing integrations. If not, additional analysis may be required to determine whether further development is needed.
If you would like to check whether a specific payment terminal integration is supported, please contact chargepoints@greenflux.com.
When submitting your request, please include technical documentation of the implementation. This information allows us to review the request effectively.
After reviewing the request, we will inform you about the outcome, the possible next steps, and whether the implementation can be supported as‑is or would require further development. If additional development is needed, the request may be handled as a feature request.
